Maintained by the Horticultural Department of Tamil Nadu, this sprawling 55-acre garden sits on the lower slopes of Doddabetta Peak and is divided into five sections including a Fern House, Italian Garden, and Conservatory, featuring over 600 plant species. A fossilised tree trunk estimated to be 20 million years old is one of its star exhibits, and the annual Summer Festival flower show draws huge crowds. It is one of Ooty's most iconic and centrally located attractions.
